1 January: Police conducted a flag march and stepped up patrolling in sensitive
locations of the town here today following a scuffle between members of two
communities late last night. Four people have been arrested for yesterdays
incident.
Armed
police marched along the Dasaharapada road and another area of town.According
to police sources some miscreants pelted stones and attacked a place of worship
late last night. The stone pelting resulted in damages to lights and other
articles at the place of worship.
The victims of the attack protested but were abused
and assaulted by the miscreants. Early this morning, a police complaint was
lodged by the victims and the matter was reported to district SP P Gupta. The
complainants also demanded compensation towards the damage caused to their
place of worship.
Inspector in charge of the Town Police Station, Ramesh
Bissoyi said four persons have been arrested in connection with the
incident.Four platoon police have been deployed in the sensitive localities of
the town said police
