The Election Commission on Wednesday announced the schedule for Lok Sabha polls 2014. Polling will be held in nine phases, starting April 07 and the counting of votes will be held on May 16.
The Election Commission on Wednesday announced the schedule for Lok Sabha polls 2014. Polling will be held in nine phases, starting April 07 and the counting of votes will be held on May 16.
For the first phase election 10 lok sabha and 70 Vidan sabha,
Bargarh, Sundergard, Sambalpur, Balangir, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Kandhmal,
Aska, Berhampur and Koraput, to be held on 10th April. For the first
phase filing nomination will from March 15th to 22nd, scrutiny
on 24th, and withdrawn on 26th April.
For the second phase 11 loksabha and 77 vidan sabha polls in Kendujhor, Mayurbhanj, Baleswar, Jajpur,
Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Bhubaneswar, scheduled to be held on
17th April. Filing of
nominations from 19th to 26th
March, scrutiny on 27th and withdrawn
on 29th March.
